About this course
You can't learn to competently kite surf in a day, however if you want an introduction to the sport to see if you like it this is a great way of finding out. Taster days make brilliant presents as well for those difficult to buy for "have everything they want" type people.
The purpose of this day is to have a safe, fun experience of what kitesurfing is about! We'll even set up all your kit for you so you can spend more time out playing in the water and developing your flying skills.
After a brief intro and safety briefing to show you how to release our kite and to learn the hand signals we use to give you instructions, it's on to some basic flying. Once you know how to pilot the kite, we can start using the power to "body surf" across the water which is a lot of fun. Finally for the last hour or so of the day, we break out the boards and help you stand up on them so you can take your first short runs across the bay.
The natural progression from this day is either some 1-2-1 tuition or a 3-day beginner's course which will give you the full training and certification required to become a competent kite surfer.
