Level:Certification - no prior kite or boarding experience is assumed or required, however a small amount is always useful.

About this course
During this three-day course our instructors will do their utmost to pass on their knowledge and experience in order to get you to a competent and self-sufficient beginner standard. Each day lasts for about 6-7 hours with the start time dependent on tide.
The course follows the worldwide recognised IKO syllabus and will take you from complete beginner showing you how to assess conditions, rig up your equipment, pilot the kites and maintain control. From here we'll move on to body surfing using the kite for power as well as showing you how to rescue yourself if you get into trouble. The final stage is water starting and riding away whilst maintaining control and course.
We will use a combination of 2 and 4 line trainer kites specifically designed for teaching kitesurfing in a safe and consistent fashion. Over the course you will use C-style as well as Bow-style kites, so you can confidently try, hire or purchase equipment after your lessons.
Don't worry about windless days. The course is quite modular so we won't have you sitting on the beach doing theory if the wind is blowing only to find there is no wind the next day. If the course doesn't complete for any reason we will credit you the time and you can come back down and finish at any of our centres in the UK.
After your course the progression from here is to get some insurance and then come down and hire some equipment [£40 per day for ex-students only] in order to practice your new found skills. If needed 1-2-1 lessons can be done by arrangement.
