About this course
Learning to fly a powerkite is the fundamental skill for all of the kite sports, whether it is on land sea or snow. The powerkite intro lesson is done over a three hour morning or afternoon on our lovely sandy beach at Gorleston. The session will take you through the safet considerations as well as how to rig up your kit and then proceeds to cover basic flight skills.
Towards the end of the session we'll show you the elements of how to generate traction and also show you how both "bars" and "handles" work so you'll get to try the most popular methods of kite control.
Once you've completed this course you can progress onto any of our other certification courses and you should be competent enough with a kite that you could go and purchase one for personal use.
